Our team is creating a short film in Autodesk Maya. Our group project is acting as an animation studio. Our Film is a comical short for young kids ages 6-10. The story follows elementary school kids on the playground at recess racing their school pets, a snail, Mr. Snail, and a turtle, Shelly, to see which pet can race to the finish line fastest. The moral of the story is “cheaters never win” and we hope to influence kids to be honest and learn cheating is not ethical. This website is a blog to upload our progress as we work through the creative process.

Our team includes Maya as the art director, Alex as character development artist and 3D animator, Julia as storyboard artist and rigger, Johnny as storyboard artist and 3D texture artist, and Graham as 3D light and camera artist. Everyone also worked together to create our concept and story session, and worked as a 3D modeller.
